Litter Boxes
Let's face it. As much as we all love our furry babies, cleaning the litter box and keeping it clean is just a pain in the neck. This led us to purchase a LitterMaid automatic Litter box over a year ago. We still have the box and it works great so they are very sturdy.
 Of all the stuff we have spent money on trying to keep your furry girl happy, this was one of the best things we ever bought. Sassy always has a clean litter box.
When you visit peoples home who have cats and normal litter boxes, you can tell they have cats the minute you walk in the door. It's obvious. With the LitterMaid, you can not tell there is a cat in the house.
You can use the generic premium clumping litter in it so you don't spend a fortune on litter and the receptacle that collects the waste are not overly expensive. It's well worth it.
This takes all the fuss out of keeping the litter box clean. We HIGHLY recommend this product and Sassy gives it a big MEOW!!

Research has shown that most cats prefer fine-grained litters. New scoopable (clumping) litters usually have finer grains than the typical clay litter and are very popular. But high-quality, dust-free, clay litters are relatively small-grained and may be perfectly acceptable to buy your cat. Cats are very finicky so you may need to try a few to find one they like.
Many cats are put off by the odor of scented or deodorant litters. For the same reason, it's not a good idea to place a room deodorizer or air freshener near the litter box. A thin layer of baking soda placed on the bottom of the box will help absorb odors without repelling your cat, and odors shouldn't really be a problem if you keep the litter box clean. If you find the litter box odor offensive, your cat probably finds it even more offensive and won't want to use the bathroom there. Would you?
